This one comes with a deluxe case which has working latches, a double mouthpiece slot, side storage area, and an accessory storage compartment. I always thought these old classic Couesnons were sharp looking horns with lots of character. Please take a look at the 12 pictures I took to get a better idea of this beautiful trumpet's appearance. It's very freeblowing with a beautiful "sparkling" tone. This trumpet plays very well as you would expect from a Couesnon. This trumpet has been recently play tested and inspected and is all ready to be played and enjoyed. This horn is complete with all of its parts and everything is functioning properly. Besides a few dings in the horn, there are no major dents and no evidence of any repairs ever done to it. This horn features mother-of-pearl valve tops and a traditional lever style waterkey. All slides move freely and have just been lubricated. Valves are hard nickel plated and the plating is all intact and in amazing shape!! As you can tell, this horn has very low miles on it and has been carefully stored by a collector. I'm not sure what this mysterious number designation means, but it is rare to find this stamped on Couesnons. Bell is beautifully sharply engraved "LAFAYETTE MADE BY COUESNON PARIS MADE IN FRANCE" and the long receiver is stamped with "Bb A 13". This model has been out of production for nearly 30 years, so it's getting hard to find these classic horns in such original GREAT shape. This one was built when Couesnon was at its peak producing some top notch horns.

Serial number is 74XXX and the bore is standard ML (Medium Large). This trumpet was designed to be high quality intrument and it was made in the one and only Couesnon plant in Paris France. This is probably one of the nicest examples of these horns you'll find anywhere.
